ABOUT.

Dr. Guy Burrows is a board-certified neurologist with fellowship training in peripheral nerve disorders and neuromuscular diseases. He has over three decades of experience in diagnosing and treating patients with complex muscle and nerve conditions including patients with conditions such as CIDP, myasthenia gravis, and myositis immune-mediated polyneuropathy while managing their care with complex therapies including IVIG treatments.

Dr. Burrows engages referring physicians in the care of their patients, keeping them informed about patient progress throughout the evaluation and treatment process. After a patient's treatment, referring physicians receive a summary and a plan for follow-up and are encouraged to continue communication about each patient. 

 

Dr. Burrows received his medical degree at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, D.C. After his Internship in family practice at Memorial Hospital outside of St. Louis, Missouri, he went on to complete his Residency in Neurology and Fellowship in Neurophysiology/Peripheral Nerve Disorders at Wilford Hall Medical Center, a United States Air Force medical treatment facility at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.  

 

Dr. Burrows is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm having served as Wing Surgeon General and Chief Flight Surgeon in Oman during the conflict, where he oversaw a 1,000-bed hospital and its’ clinics. Afterward, he served as chief of neurology at Scott Air Force Base and a member of the medical staff at Southern Illinois Neurologic Institute.

 

In 2010, Dr. Burrows established a neuromuscular and peripheral nerve disorder medical practice in Beverly Hills and Palm Springs, California, with hospital affiliations at Cedars ­Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs. For five years prior to opening the Burrows Muscle and Nerve Center, Dr. Burrows provided neuromuscular/peripheral nerve disorders care and Director of Infusions at Mischer Neuroscience Associates-The Woodlands.
